Rindo coffee
Tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood of Abeno-ku in Osaka, Rindo coffee is a charming cafe set inside a converted nagaya, a traditional Japanese row house. It sits close to Minami-Tanabe Station, and the calm interior, where guests slip off their shoes before stepping up, makes a lovely spot for photos. A trained pastry chef prepares the desserts here, and both the strawberry shortcake and the Basque cheesecake have earned a strong reputation. A seasonal matcha anko latte, served with dango (sweet rice dumplings on a skewer), is also a favorite. Until 11:30 you can order a toast set for 650 yen, and the cafe welcomes visitors who bring their dogs along.
